ROARING FEVER's 7th winner in March

The basketball court isn't the only place you will find "March Madness" this year.  Questroyal Stud's ROARING FEVER has seen his progeny "cutting down the nets" time after time at Aqueduct this month.

The latest "bracket buster", Roaring Aly, didn't let 27-1 odds stand in the way of victory in Saturday's 5th race.   The 6 furlong maiden special weight event for fillies three and up saw 8 competitors line up for a shot at the $38,000 purse.  Roaring Aly, making only her third lifetime start, broke on top, only to be quickly joined by second-choice Heavenly Pursuit.  Those two were to make the affair a match race, quickly pulling away from the field by 6+ lengths and battling each other every step to the wire.  In deep stretch, Roaring Aly showed grit and determination after the long battle, surging up at the last moment to take the victory by a head.  She stopped the clock in 1:12.33.

Trained by Cleveland Johnson for owner/breeder Diane Cardinale, the NY-bred 3YO improved her lifetime record to 3-1-1-0, with earnings of over $26,000.
